Child Safety Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Our Commitment to Child Safety

Cizorah is deeply committed to the safety and protection of children. As a civic safety platform designed to help communities report issues, track missing persons, and find stolen items, we recognize our responsibility to ensure that our platform is safe for all users, including minors. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any content or behavior that exploits, harms, or endangers children in any way.

2. Age Requirements

  • Minimum Age: Cizorah is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or use our platform.
  • Parental Guidance: Users between the ages of 13 and 18 are encouraged to use the app under the guidance of a parent or legal guardian. We recommend parents and guardians review this policy and our Privacy Policy before allowing minors to use the platform.
  • No Age Verification Bypass: We do not provide any mechanism to bypass age requirements. If we become aware that a user under 13 has created an account, we will take immediate steps to delete the account and any associated data.

3. Data Protection for Minors

We take extra precautions to protect the data of minor users:

  • No Personal Data Collection: Cizorah uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication. We do not collect phone numbers, email addresses, real names, government IDs, or any other personally identifiable information (PII) from any user, including minors.
  • Minimal Data: The only information we collect is a self-chosen display name (which can be any alias), a selected state and district, and location data only at the time of report submission with explicit user consent.
  • No Tracking:We do not track users' location in the background, do not access contacts, call logs, SMS, or browsing history. Location is only accessed with explicit user action during report submission.
  • No Profiling: We do not create behavioral profiles of users. AI processing is limited to report categorization and content moderation, and is fully automated without human profiling.
  • Data Deletion: Any user, including minors or their parents/guardians, can request deletion of their account and all associated data at any time through the in-app settings or by contacting us at support@cizorah.com.

4. Content Moderation & Safety Measures

We employ multiple layers of protection to ensure the safety of all users, especially minors:

  • AI-Powered Content Moderation: All reports and user-generated content are automatically screened by our AI system to detect and remove inappropriate, harmful, or explicit content before it becomes visible to other users.
  • Prohibited Content: The following types of content are strictly prohibited and will be immediately removed:
    • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any sexually explicit content involving minors
    • Content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children
    • Grooming behavior or attempts to solicit minors
    • Bullying, harassment, or threats targeting minors
    • Content promoting violence against children
    • Any content that violates child protection laws
  • Community Verification: Reports go through community verification where other users can confirm or flag reports, adding an additional layer of content oversight.
  • Rate Limiting: We implement rate limiting to prevent spam and abuse of the reporting system.
  • Penalty System: Users who submit false, harmful, or inappropriate content face account suspension or permanent ban.

5. Missing Persons & Child Safety

Cizorah includes a dedicated Missing Persons module that can be used to report and search for missing individuals, including children. This feature is designed with child safety as a priority:

  • Missing Children Reports: Users can report missing children to alert the community. These reports are treated with the highest priority and are broadcast across relevant regions.
  • AI-Powered Matching: Our AI system helps match missing person reports with sighting reports submitted by community members, potentially aiding in faster recovery.
  • Sensitive Handling: All missing person reports involving children are handled with extra sensitivity. We do not display unnecessary personal details and focus on information that aids in identification and recovery.
  • No Direct Contact: The platform does not facilitate direct contact between users. Sighting reports are matched through the system to prevent potential misuse.

6. No Direct Messaging or Social Features

Cizorah does not include any of the following features that could potentially be misused to target children:

  • No direct messaging or private chat functionality between users
  • No friend lists, follower systems, or social networking features
  • No user profiles that display personal information publicly
  • No ability to search for or browse other users
  • No live streaming, video calling, or voice calling features
  • No ability to share location with other users in real-time

The platform is designed solely for civic reporting and community safety — not for social interaction between users.

If you encounter any content on Cizorah that you believe violates child safety standards, or if you suspect that a minor is being exploited or endangered through our platform, please report it immediately:

8. CSAM Detection & Reporting

Cizorah maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM):

  • All uploaded images and content are screened for CSAM using automated detection systems
  • Any detected CSAM is immediately removed and the associated account is permanently banned
  • We report all instances of CSAM to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and local law enforcement agencies
  • We retain necessary information to assist law enforcement investigations as required by law

Cizorah is committed to raising awareness about child safety issues:

  • Our Missing Persons module helps communities find missing children faster through AI-powered matching and community alerts
  • We support and encourage reporting of any incidents involving harm to children through our civic reporting module
  • We aim to create a safer community environment where issues affecting children can be reported anonymously without fear of retaliation

  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
  • Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), India
